    Bloody Mary Cherib Tomatoes

    Bloody Mary Cherib Tomatoes 


    Ingredients:

    16 oz Tomato Juice or V8 Juice

    1/4 cup Fresh Lime Juice

    1/4 cup Prepared Horseradish

    3 T Worcestershire Sauce

    2 t Hot Sauce

    1 T Kosher Salt

    1/4 t Freshly Ground Black Pepper

    2# Fresh Cherib, Cherry, or Grape Tomatoes

    8 oz (1 cup) Vodka

    1 cup minced celery

    Lime Wedges (garnish)

    Celery Leaves (garnish)


    Instructions:

    Prepare at least two days in advance.

    In a large bowl, or a glass or plastic container, Stir together tomato juice, lime juice, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

    Cut a small x in the bottom of each tomato and blanch in boiling water for 5 seconds. Immediately plunge into ice water. Peel the skin from each tomato and

    add to “bloody mary” mixture. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight or up to 3 days. The day you plan to serve, gently stir in vodka and refrigerate for up to 8 more hours.

    Using a slotted spoon, pull tomatoes out of the “bloody mary” mixture and place in a serving bowl. Sprinkle with minced celery and garnish with celery leaves and lime slices. Place a container of picks alongside.
